Poland-Based Isaac Trounce Releases Piano Ballad 'Waiting'
Currently based in Poland, Australian-born artist Isaac Trounce is a long way from home.
Leaving his hometown of Lithgow in the Blue Mountains as a pianist, Trounce took to travelling Europe, picking up a guitar along the way and writing a slew of indie folk tunes, complementing his gentle vocals with his now-characteristic finger-picking style. Recently, Isaac has been active as the lead singer and songwriter in The Embers, but has just released his debut solo single.

Written before his departure from Australia, Waiting describes Trounce's fears during an unsteady time in his life. Marrying nothing but his piano and voice, Waiting drips with emotion, as Trounce sketches a picture of the present with his lyrics, colouring it with graceful melodies on his piano.
With an emphasis on a fear of losing touch with the present, the music video, directed by Artur Kopciowski, artfully conveys the sombre tone of the piece. Like the single itself, the cinematography is raw, real, and intimate. Isaac's emotions resonate within the music, the lighting, and every piano note that pierces the air.
It's not often we get the chance to review piano ballads on Fireflight Features. Trounce's latest single is refreshing, and we're curious to hear what else he has up his sleeve.
